I have a passion for media, communications, social media and electronic publishing. I have been publishing and marketing one thing or another, either print and online, for the past thirty five years. My flagship publication, www.mediamag.ca was first published in print in 2002 and then published exclusively online in 2003, making it one of the first online magazines in Alberta. I also published one of the first enewsletters in Alberta (at least the first one that I knew about anyway). In January 2011, mediainalberta.ca was launched with the Alberta Media Directory, the largest, most comprehensive and current directory of reporters, editors, show hosts and news producers in Alberta. When I am not working on my own projects, I work on client projects. In addition to publishing more than forty websites for myself, for individuals or for small businesses and community organizations, I have given media relations and social media training to more than 350 communications professionals in Alberta over the past five years. I am active in the publishing community, a hard working journalist with a penchant for media makers in Alberta, and a long time volunteer at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival and more recently, a member of the St Albert Trekkers Club. I hold a BA in Honors English from the University of Alberta and a MA in Publishing from Simon Fraser University.
