Maybe you've landed here because you've already decided to build your website with Joomla!, or you’re curious about what’s involved with an installation and setup of the world's most popular, award winning, free and open source content management system. This workshop will show you how to design, build and master your own website using free, wildly popular and open source software. We'll spend the first session discussing your website needs and objectives. After llunch, we'll explore the Joomla! framework and walk through the seven steps to building a professionally designed website with the Joomla! content management system. Then together, with the help and advice of other workshop participants, we'll develop a site plan for each participant's website. You'll leave the workshop with a site plan, design resources and training guides as well as all the software and tools you will need to get your website up and running. You'll be able to publish and maintain your own website without any previous online publishing or technical knowledge.
